Malted with the finest Canadian barley, O'Neill Malting Company is proud to provide fresh artisanal local malt to craft brewers.

Located within Chatham-Kent, we produce a quality malt with the intentions of providing breweries within the area with local malt which was not readily available before.

With good malt, comes better beer. We believe that quality and consistency is our highest priority. By being attentive to our malt every step of the way, we are building the stepping stones for a beer that the brewer can be proud to call their own.

THE MALTSTER

Connor O'Neill

Connor

In 2015, Connor went to Winnipeg where he attended the Canadian Malting Barley Technical Centre. While there, he was enrolled in an intensive malting course that taught him how to take raw grain and turn it into a quality malted barley. Since then, Connor has developed and manufactured a pilot malt system. Growing up on a farm, he has always had interest with the idea of making grains grow and finding new ways to improve crop production. Seed development and malting go hand-in-hand; Connor has been able to take his farming knowledge and use it towards the art of malting.
